How’s construction progressing at The Madrone? For the past few months, I’ve uploaded photo galleries journaling the progress made in construction of the newest condo development to join the Mission Bay neighborhood. Today I wanted to do something a little bit different, so I took the video camera along instead of the still camera.
As you can see from the video, the skies were sunny and blue and the cranes and construction crew were hard at work on the Madrone. It looks like they have built up to roughly the 13th floor in Tower One and Tower Two, which leaves them with only three more floors to finish.
You can also see that they’ve progressed with more window installations, particularly along the southern side of the building. I don’t have any connections with Webcor, the builder, or anyone else on site at the construction so I don’t know if they are happy with the construction progress. While it seems to me that things are progressing quite nicely, I don’t know if they would rate themselves as ahead of schedule, behind schedule, or on schedule.
I hope that you enjoy the video. If this is your first time visiting the site, then please take a moment to poke around and see what else I’ve written about The Madrone and the neighborhood. If you are a construction fanatic, then you will definitely want to be sure to check out all of our other photo galleries showcasing Madrone construction progress like this one from July 2011 or these Madrone condo photos from April 2011.
And I’m always looking for interesting angles to photograph or videotape the Madrone from, so if you happen to know anyone that works in any of the nearby buildings, or owns a plane perhaps, be sure to let me know. I’ll stop at nothing for more Madrone media!
